Hailing from Yakima, WA, this shiraz/malbec blend is pleasantly robust. First impression is a profusion of pepper. Light oak profile, just enough to give it some depth and personality. No need to tip toe around the bold flavor profiles, however. Somehow the wine still managed to taste clean, smooth and drinkable. The bottled emptied so quickly I swear the cat was sneaking drags when we weren't looking! It paired well with the rustic shrimp and tabouli dish we had for dinner. Red wine and seafood can (and often) go well together. If someone tries to tell you otherwise then, well, more for you!
The shell symbolizes a touching journey and lingering sentiment, which inspires the wine. I won't spoil the tale for you, but gather some good friends around and enjoy.
